Activities Using A Single Switch
(simple activities that advance with a single click)

Unless otherwise indicated, the following activities work with a switch plugged into a left mouse "click " switch interface option.
If students are using two switches for other activities, use only the student's "select" switch for these activities.

Literactive Nursery Rhyme Stories
Choose the "Read" option and place the mouse cursor on the next page arrow.

Choose the "Click-Through" versions and place the mouse cursor over the "next" button.

Choose "Read It With Me" and place the mouse cursor over the arrow. Limited selection of free books. Small subscription fee required for full access.

“Follow the Figure” or “Follow the Animal” are nice for visual tracking.

Click on the Settings to customize the activities. (You may need to plug the switch into "Space" for the Find the Vegetable or Find the Animal activities.)

Select a book, select a voice, then choose “Read Book”. Place the mouse cursor on the “Next Page” button.

StoryPlace Online PreSchool Stories

Some, but not all of the online stories work with a single switch. Place the mouse cursor over the next page arrow. Stories work when the arrow stays in the same location throughout the whole story. For example, Color The Rainbow and Five Little babies work, but Time To Fight a Fire does not work with a switch.

Some of these activities require timing. Some need the switch plugged into "Space".

 

Shiny Learning Games

Most games require timing. The easiest are Fly Swatter, Shiny Press To Move, and Sink The Pirate Ship.
